Uusi päivitys sekoitti grubin (RATKAISTU)

Aamulla aukaisin koneen ja tuli ilmoitus tärkeästä turvallisuuspäivityksestä. Annoin sen asentua ja käynnistin koneen uudelleen kun niin käskettiin. Yllätys oli suuri kun Ubuntun tekemässä grublataimessa openSUSE ei enää käynnistynyt. Erros 15, file not found. Ennen päivitystä toimi normaalisti.

Asensin openSUSEn muutama päivät sitten omalle levylleen ja Ubuntun(9.04) toiselle levylle eilen. Ubuntu teki käynnistyslataimen, josta voi käynnistää kumman tahansa jakeluista. OpenSUSEn päivityksen jälkeen tuo systeemi siis viottui. Olisiko yksinkertaisia korjausneuvoja? Vaikeita kun en osaa tehdä (ehkä rautalangasta?)

Itse asiassa ei mikään yllätys. ubuntu kun ei tiedä että openSUSEn ydin on vaihtunut.
Ota ja laita näytille ubuntun /boot/grub/menu.lst

Asensin openSUSEn muutama päivät sitten omalle levylleen ja Ubuntun(9.04) toiselle levylle eilen. Ubuntu teki käynnistyslataimen, josta voi käynnistää kumman tahansa jakeluista. OpenSUSEn päivityksen jälkeen tuo systeemi siis viottui. Olisiko yksinkertaisia korjausneuvoja? Vaikeita kun en osaa tehdä (ehkä rautalangasta?)

Kun näen tuon ubuntun luoman menu.lst-tiedoston niin kerron kuinka se korjataan.

Yritän vielä laittaa sen tähän:

Alla korjaus grubiin, ja nyt riippuen siitä käyttääkö pae vai default kerneliä.
Jos molemmat ytimet ovat käytössä niin tuo vmlinuz ja initrd osoittavat default-versioon.
Jos pelkkä pae-ydin on käytössä, niin ilmeisesti(en pysty tätä millään tarkistamaan) vmlinuz ja initrd osoittavat siinä tapauksessa pae-versioon.

Jos teillä on käytössä jonkin toisen jakelun käynnistyslatain, niin muokatkaa sitä openSUSEn osalta siten että muutatte tuon tarkan ytimen ja initrd:n osoittamaan openSUSEn /boot-hakemiston linkkeihin.

Kerron vielä, että onnistuin pelkästään ylläolevan ohjeen  mukaisesti toimimalla korjaamaan toisella koneella samalaisen grub-ongelman, mistä edellä on ollut puhe.
