Minulla on koneessani kaksi asemaa, joista toinen on CD/DVD-soitin ja toinen CDRWROM.Ensin mainittu asema toimii moitteettomasti.
Jos yritän soittaa musiikkilevyn jälkimmäisessä asemassa, niin tulee virheilmoitus "Musiikkilevyä ei löydy". Aikaisemmassa openSuse 11 asennuksessa ei ollut mitään ongelmia aseman kanssa.
Olen lukenut vietiketjun http://opensuse.fi/keskustelu/index.php?topic=2046.0  ja asentanut mainitun ohjelman kdemultimedia3-CD. Se ei kuitenkaan auttanut.

Millä ohjelmalla/milla olet yrittänyt cdlevyä toistaa?

Vaihdoin vanhan CDRWROM-aseman hieman uudempaan DVDROM-asemaan (Asus DVDROM E616;secondary paikka). Se ei auttanut asiaa. Ongelma säilyi samanlaisena. Yritin soittaa sekä Kaffeinella että Amarokilla. Yritin avata Amarokin Help-sivut, mutta ne eivät ole käytössä."KDE:n ohjetta ei voitu avata: Palvelua 'khelpcenter ei löytynyt' ". Sen sijaan musiikkilevyn soitto onnistuu primary paikassa olevalla DVD-asemalla(/soittimella) (LG HL-DT-ST DVD-RAM GSA-H42L) Kaffeinella, muttei Amarokilla.

Lisäksi pyysit tulosteen komennosta dmesg musiikkilevyn olessa DVDROM-asemassa. Se on seuraavanlainen:

dmesg antaa ylläolevan ilmoituksen edellisessä viestissäni. Miten voin päivittää ko. ajurin käyttäen bus_type metodia?
Olen ollut työmatkalla enkä siten ole pystynyt kirjoittamaan asiasta lisätietoja riittävän nopeasti.

Tämä näyttäisi olleen yleinen ongelma viime keväänä. Löysin googlettamalla useita viestiketjuja, esim. http://bugs.archlinux.org/task/9659 . En kuitenkaan löytänyt varsinaista ratkaisua.Minun openSuse 11 linux-verio on 2.25.16-0-1-pae. Uskoisin, että keväinen ajuriongelma olisi jo ratkaistu tähän mennessä  :-\
